Degree requirement
published Article 6 of the law, in Spanish, lists what you must show, to the board's satisfaction, to take the license examination. The law adds that, a partir de la aprobación de esta enmienda (our translation: from the approval of this amendment), every applicant must have obtained a bachelor's degree before entering chiropractic school; the compilation does not say which amendment that is. Continuing education
published The board's license-renewal sheet, in Spanish, requires 45 hours of continuing education, at least 30 of them in person, and states that you may present no more than 15 hours by module, journal or internet (our translation). It mandates 4 hours of infection control; 2 hours in a course on bioethics and discrimination, which the sheet names Équida y Respeto and applies from 2024 on; 3 hours in ethics and jurisprudence; and CPR taken during the three-year period, in person, credited to a maximum of 5 hours, with a certificate rather than a card (our translation). The cycle is three years: the sheet uses “trienio”, and the ORCPS portal states that licenses are renewed every three years. To renew, you also need a $100.00 fee, a child-support clearance certificate (ASUME) and criminal-record certificates from Puerto Rico and, if you live outside Puerto Rico, from where you live, each issued less than 30 days earlier. The sheet cites Reglamento 7030, the continuing-education regulation, which the board publishes as a scanned image whose text layer is machine-read (OCR) (checked 2026-10-04).The sheet writes “Équida”, which appears to be a typographical error for Equidad (equity).
