A member-owned body cannot publish that one of its members states a cost of attendance of $24,534 per trimester at one campus and $28,726 at another campus of the same college, at identical tuition. It cannot report that a college states its own graduates leave owing an average of $240,000. It cannot point out that the examination board whose exams every state accepts or requires publishes its fee schedule on its examinee domain.
None of that is a criticism of those organizations. They serve their members, and their members are the institutions and practitioners the facts are about. The information simply has nowhere to live inside them. So the useful facts are the ones a member-owned body structurally cannot print — and those are the only ones worth building a directory for.

The Council on Chiropractic Education accredits 19 Doctor of Chiropractic degree programs across 21 locations in the United States — its own figures, and a distinction this site exists to make: a program and a campus are not the same unit. Its own standards state that it “does not define or support any specific philosophy regarding the principles and practice of chiropractic,” that those standards “accommodate no philosophical or political position,” and that they do not establish the scope of chiropractic practice.
This profession contains genuine disagreement about what chiropractic is for. A directory that picked a side would be taking a position the body accrediting every program explicitly declines to take. So nothing here is ranked, no payment buys position, and the organizations that disagree with each other most get exactly the same fields and the same amount of room.

Where a school publishes components but no total, the components are listed and the missing total is stated. A computed total would look exactly like a published one.
A field we could not source says so, rather than being filled from memory or from marketing copy.
A fact surfaced about one listed party and not its peers is a judgment however neutrally worded. Reported for everyone, or for nobody.
A shorter entry means that body publishes less about itself, and the entry says so. Nothing is padded to look even.
