Parker University

Dallas, Texas

What you are reading, and what it does not tell you

This is what Parker publishes about its own student organizations. Parker publishes a detailed handbook governing how clubs are formed, registered, funded and refused. It does not publish a description of any individual club, so the field that would carry a club's own words is empty throughout, and this page says so rather than filling it.

It does not tell you what any club is like, how active it is, or whether it is worth joining. Those are judgements about specific students' effort, and they are not made here.

No student is named on this page. Named staff appear inside quotations because a quoted passage is reproduced as published; no staff contact is transcribed into a field. Parker publishes a named staff contact for club questions, recorded here as existing and not reproduced.

Nothing here is ranked, and the length of this entry is not a judgement. Entry length tracks how much a college publishes, not how much it offers. Where Parker publishes nothing, you will read that it publishes nothing — and absence in what was checked is not absence at the university.

What happens when the answer is no

Parker publishes what a refused student organization is owed.

The named decision-makers. Registration applications are reviewed by the Coordinator of Student Engagement and the Dean of Student Affairs.

The stated ground for refusal. In Parker's words: The coordinator may deny registration to any student organization or group whose actions or activities are averse to the educational purpose and work of Parker University.

What a refused applicant receives. “If an organization is refused registration, the applicant will be provided with a copy of a statement detailing the reasons for refusal.”

And what happens if an organization simply lapses. “If an organization does not complete the process to be recognized by the deadline, it will become inactive for that trimester and will be unable to participate in any privileges of approved organizations and clubs. If they do not complete the recognition process for three trimesters, the organization will lose their recognition status, forfeit their club fund balance, and will have to apply for approval as a new organization.”

Forfeited funds do not vanish. Parker states they are held in a university account and used to fund new clubs, with each new club receiving a one-time distribution of $200 from it.

own gap Three other colleges documented in this block publish registration or recognition mechanisms whose governing documents we have not read. Whether any of them publishes an equivalent step is unchecked. Its absence from those entries means that, and nothing more.

How Parker publishes its clubs

Three documents, plus a platform. The codes are used on every field below.

[H] Student Organization Handbook, 2024–2025
Public PDF, revised 6 May 2025. Thirty-one pages covering registration, refusal, categories, advisors, technique-club rules, fiscal policy, speakers, facilities and marketing. The document that carries almost everything on this page.
[SH] Student Handbook
Parker's general student handbook, which states that organizations must be approved and recognized, and sets out class officer positions and the student senate.
[CO] Clubs and Organizations page
parker.edu/clubs-organizations/ — names no club. Describes the categories, points to the platform for the full list with meeting schedules and contact information, and publishes a named staff address for questions.
Platform Parker Engage
parker.campuslabs.com/engage/organizations — the student organization directory. Publishes names and links; it does not publish descriptions.
A note on what this page previously recorded. The handbook was recorded across this site as an internal document behind a login, on the strength of [SH] naming it as available on the university portal. It is public and fetchable. That error and what it cost are set out on the corrections page.

How Parker's sources relate to each other

A source delegates
[CO] publishes categories and no names, and directs a reader to the platform [H] directs a reader to the same platform for the current organization directory Parker publishes where the list lives rather than the list. The roster is on the platform and the platform publishes names without descriptions, so no description exists at the end of the chain.
Evidence quality · an earlier version of one page named clubs and the current version does not
What we hold: a search-index description of an earlier version of [CO], naming four organizations and a contact What is published now: [CO] names no organization This is recorded as a limitation of our evidence, not as a claim about Parker. We did not read the earlier page; we hold a machine-generated description of it. Nothing here says what Parker removed, when, or why — a page changing is ordinary, and an index snippet is not a source for what a page once said. It is recorded so that a future reader knows the roster on this page came from the platform and the handbook rather than from Parker's own clubs page.

What the college lists

Parker states no total. The platform directory carries entries, some of which are university offices rather than student organizations.

Parker Engage organization directory

Platform Retrieved 9 September 2026

The directory listed 24 entries on 9 September 2026, some of them university offices and departments. Parker states no total.

Where this comes from. The directory was read once in a browser. It renders nothing without JavaScript and there is no fetchable document behind it, so nothing in this section can be checked against a file the way the quotations above can.

Entries that are university functions: Department of Student Affairs · Career Services · Student Success · Alumni Relations · Campus Recreation. Each is a university function with a directory entry rather than a student organization, and each is listed here so the subtraction can be checked rather than trusted.

This is a floor. The platform is a directory of organizations that have completed registration for the current trimester. Under Parker's own rules an organization that misses the deadline becomes inactive for that trimester, so a club can exist, be recognized in a previous trimester, and not appear.

Parker's own club categories

Parker publishes nine categorical descriptions in [H].

Academic Interest — students organized to study, discuss or experience an academic course, major or field.
Honor — nationally recognized honour organizations, typically affiliated with a specific major, department or campus activity.
Special Technique Clubs — clubs featuring healthcare services such as chiropractic adjusting procedures or techniques, therapeutic exercise, and health-related counselling.
Multicultural — students organized to celebrate and support the interests of one or many cultures, races or ethnicities.
Professional — students organized to pursue mutual career goals and prepare for the professional world.
Religious/Spiritual — students organized to celebrate and support the interest of one or many religions or religious or spiritual studies.
Service — students organized to provide volunteer, community service and philanthropy.
Spirit — students organized to promote school spirit for Parker University and its activities and programs.
Other — organizations that do not meet the descriptions of the categories listed.

What a technique club may be, and who may lead it

Parker publishes limits on technique clubs that bound what can exist rather than what a club may do in a given meeting.

The curriculum limit
“Special Technique clubs that do not fall under our curriculum will not be allowed at Parker University even under the supervision of a licensed doctor. Technique clubs have to be focused on specific techniques offered within the Parker University curriculum.”

Restated in the general guidelines: Technique clubs must fall under the techniques that are taught here at Parker University. Technique clubs must be focused on one specific technique offered within the curriculum. Source: [H]

The advisor requirement
“Special Technique clubs that involve HVLA adjustments/manipulations or grade 5 mobilizations must have an advisor who is a faculty member and a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in the State of Texas and has taught or is currently teaching techniques at Parker University.”

Parker adds that this is to ensure that the advisor can adequately assess if a movement or procedure is within Parker University curriculum. Source: [H]

Who may hold the presidency
“In order to hold the office of president in a technique club, the student must be currently enrolled in or have taken the course taught in our curriculum.”

Source: [H]

Adjusting without supervision
“Adjusting without supervision is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. There is a zero-tolerance policy for organizations found to be adjusting without proper supervision from their advisor or designee. Organizations found to be in violation will be deactivated indefinitely and any involved parties will face sanctions through the Office of Student Conduct.”

Technique clubs must use designated adjusting time, and an advisor must be present in an adjusting lab. Source: [H]

What this means for the roster
The technique clubs that can exist here are the techniques Parker teaches. A student cannot form a club around a tradition outside the curriculum, and Parker states this holds even with a licensed doctor supervising. A second college in this block publishes the same limit in different words — see the findings across colleges, where it is recorded at two.

Fields that hold for every club at Parker

What each club is, in its own words — field 4
unverified Not sourced Empty for every club. [CO] names no club. The platform publishes names and links without descriptions. [H] governs clubs and does not describe them. Parker publishes no description of any individual student organization on any source read.
Membership cost — field 7a
Published as a rule rather than a figure.
A registered student organization may collect membership fees or dues at a meeting at the beginning of each trimester. However, student organizations are required to provide an alternative option for those students who cannot or may not be able to afford the required membership fee.
Fees must be approved by the Department of Student Affairs and the organization's advisor, included in the annual Fundraising Report, and set out in the organization's constitution. unverified No figure is published for any club. Source: [H]
National-body cost — field 7b
unverified Not sourced Parker publishes no figure for any affiliated body. Bodies that set their own student dues are documented on the organizations page. What a campus club charges and what a national body charges are separate facts, and Parker addresses only the first.
Open to students outside the chiropractic program — field 6
“Student organizations and clubs are open to all students, faculty, and staff of Parker University.”
Membership must additionally be open to all enrolled students regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, religion, or age unless specifically exempted in Title IX, and an organization must restrict membership to students, faculty and staff of the university. Parker runs programs beyond the Doctor of Chiropractic, so this admits students from those programs. unverified Whether anyone outside the university may attend. Source: [H]
Status and mechanism — field 10
Published in full. Existing organizations must register each trimester by completing all forms before the end of week two, and must meet nine good-standing conditions by week three including a membership roster, three leaders, seven members and an advisor. Missing the deadline makes an organization inactive for that trimester; missing three trimesters ends recognition and forfeits funds. unverified No status marker is published against any named club, so no status is recorded for any Parker club. Source: [H]
Public social handle — field 9
unverified Not sourced No handle is published for any club on any source read. [H] states that organization social media pages should be public, which is a rule about clubs' own accounts and not a published handle. Recorded as none published throughout.
How you join — field 8
Through Parker Engage, which [CO] states carries meeting schedules and contact information per organization, and through the Department of Student Affairs. Parker publishes a named staff contact for club questions and a departmental address; the named address is recorded as existing and is not reproduced here. Sources: [CO][H]
Starting a club
Published as a nine-step process: an approval request form, three leaders, seven student members including those three, a faculty or staff advisor, a constitution, a risk management policy, a one-to-one meeting, approval from the Dean of Student Affairs, and registration on the platform. Parker publishes a sample constitution and a sample risk management policy in the handbook. New organizations must complete registration by the end of week six. Source: [H]
Funding available to a club
Active organizations may apply to Student Senate for funding, capped at $300 per organization per fiscal year. Each new club receives a one-time $200 distribution from funds forfeited by organizations that lost recognition. Organizations have a university account and a card for purchases. Source: [H]
Whether Parker covers any national membership fee
unverified Not sourced Not stated for any organization. The handbook addresses what a club may charge its own members and does not address membership of any outside body.

Student representation

Student Senate
Described in [SH] as a body of student leaders representing all enrolled students at Parker University. It holds the club funding route documented above, and student selection for university service is made through it.

Composition, as published: for the College of Chiropractic, each trimester class elects a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Student Senators. The Diagnostic Sonography Program elects a class President. The School of Massage Therapy and the online and general education undergraduate programs elect one Senator per class. Representation is structured by program as well as by class. Source: [SH]

unverified Not sourced Election method and cycle are not published beyond the statement that officers are elected by the class.

A constraint on holding office
“A student may hold office as a President for only one student organization at a time and may not simultaneously hold an office in a student organization while serving on student government Executive Cabinet or as a class president.”

Officers must additionally be full-time, in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.25, and have no record of disciplinary action. Source: [H]

What is not published, and what is not built

Any description of any club
unverified Parker publishes none on any source read. The roster on the platform is names and links.
The organization directory itself, read in a browser
unverified The platform index does not render without JavaScript. The count above comes from a browser visit; per-organization pages were not opened, so affiliations, costs and handles per club are unfilled.
Which national or specialty bodies have chapters here
unverified Not establishable. Parker's own pages name none. The organizations page lists, in each entry’s student block, the college rosters on this site that name the body.
Whether any club charges dues, and how much
unverified Parker publishes the rule and no figures.
What the earlier version of the clubs page said
unverified We hold a machine-generated description of it, not the page. Recorded as a limit on our evidence and not as a claim about Parker.

Sources and dates.
