The business of practice

What each jurisdiction’s statute, administrative rules and chiropractic board publish about running a practice: advertising, titles, prepaid care, discounts and inducements, record retention, assistants, ownership and telehealth. Quoted as published, with the citation as the jurisdiction prints it, the source and the date we read it. Nothing here is a summary, an interpretation or advice.

By jurisdiction

By topic

Each topic view sets every jurisdiction’s entry side by side, in alphabetical order.

  1. Advertising
  2. Titles and claims
  3. Prepaid care and financial arrangements
  4. Discounts, free services and inducements
  5. Record retention
  6. Assistants and delegation
  7. Corporate practice and ownership
  8. Telehealth · Shown only where the jurisdiction publishes a provision specific to chiropractic.

Each topic in an entry is marked quoted, not found with the pages read and the date, or unreadable with the address and what it returned. Absence in what we read is not absence in the jurisdiction’s law. Every capture was made after reading the site’s robots.txt; a site whose robots.txt refused us, or that did not answer, is recorded as unreadable and was not read another way. No vendor, coach or company is named in this layer.

The jurisdiction is the authority on everything here. These pages quote what the statute, the rules and the board publish and the date we read them; they do not interpret it. Laws and rules change. Confirm anything you intend to act on with the board.
